The Monuments Men is a war drama set at the end of World War II. The film is based on actual events and depicts members of the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives program, which was nicknamed "The Monuments Men".
George Clooney and Grant Heslov wrote the screenplay and produced the movie. George Clooney also starred in the movie along with Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, and Cate Blanchett.
The movie earned $150 million worldwide on a $70 million budget.
