Elf is a 2003 comedy film starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Asner, and Bob Newhart.
It was directed by Jon Favreau and written by David Berenbaum.
Elf was released in Novmember 2003 and earned over $220 million on a budget of $33 millon.
It was well received and is considered one of the best Christmas movies of all time.
