Arrival is a science fiction film based on the 1998 short story "Story of Your Life" by Ted Chiang.
The film was directed by Denis Villeneuve and stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Forrest Whitaker, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Tzi Ma.
The movie was released in theaters in November 2016 and to DVD and Blu-ray on February 14, 2017.
The movie earned more than $200 million on a budget of less than $50 million.
Arrival received multiple Academy Award nominations, including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, Best Picture, and won the award for Best Sound Editing.
Amy Adams received a Golden Globe Best Actress nomination and composer Jóhann Jóhannsson won the award for Best Original Score.
